Reunification Services

Gwen's Girls provides reunification services to girls in placement who reside in Allegheny County. Our goal is to facilitate the critical transition from an out-of-home placement back into the family, school, and community.

Our clients are victims of abuse (physical, mental and/or sexual), neglect and abandonment – which has resulted in removal from their homes and are now in foster care or placement/group homes. Once it has been determined by the courts that a child may return home, the difficult transition of reunification begins. These girls require a high intensity of service, including intensive care management.

We also offer Parent Support and Education groups to help parents/caretakers cope with the various challenges of family life.
